Chinese Ambassador to Guyana Yang Yang Meets the 21st Chinese (Jiangsu) Medical Team to Guyana with H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali

On 19 September 2026, H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali warmly received the departing 21st Chinese (Jiangsu) Medical Team to Guyana. He congratulated the team on the successful completion of their mission and engaged in a cordial exchange with the members. Hon. Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Dr. Frank Anthony, Minister of Health, Hon. Vanessa Benn, Minister within the Ministry of Housing, H.E. Ambassador Yang Yang attended the event.

Ambassador Yang spoke highly of the 21st Chinese Medical Team for their dedicated service to the people of Guyana and their positive contribution to the development of Guyana's health sector. She noted that China stands ready to work with Guyana to continuously advance pragmatic health cooperation towards higher quality and greater sustainability.
