On January 16, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Dzmitry Dzeravinski met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yvan Eduardo Gil Pinto.
During the conversation, the Belarusian diplomat confirmed the full support and solidarity of the Republic of Belarus with the people and the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela in ensuring the inviolability of national interests and state sovereignty. He strongly condemned the unprecedented external aggression against a peaceful state and expressed his deep condolences over the death of a large number of people as a result of the night attack carried out on January 3, 2026 against Venezuela.
On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, the head of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry expressed sincere gratitude to President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko for his firm position in defending of the sovereignty of Venezuela and for his principled consistency in developing friendly Belarusian-Venezuelan dialogue.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual readiness to further strengthen fruitful cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
