Forsyth County registered voters have three options for casting their ballot for the upcoming Nov. 4 Special Elections & Municipal General Election. Voters can find full details about the election and the voting options by visiting forsythco.com.
Contests set to appear on the Nov. 4, 2025, ballot include the following:
All Forsyth County registered voters may vote in the two Special Elections. Only registered voters living in the City of Cumming are eligible to vote in the Municipal General Election.
Advance Voting in Person
All Forsyth County registered voters may take advantage of Advance Voting in person regardless of where they are assigned to vote on Election Day. Advance Voting for the Nov. 4 Special Elections & Municipal General Election will be offered on weekdays, two Saturdays and one Sunday over a three-week period beginning Tuesday, Oct. 14.
"We want to note that Advance Voting is starting on a Tuesday for this election because Monday, Oct. 13 is a state holiday," said Director of Voter Registrations & Elections Mandi Smith. "On Tuesday, Oct. 14 we'll kick off Advance Voting at the Voter Registrations & Elections Office."
Advance Voting times and locations vary by date:
ADVANCE VOTING WEEK 1:
Tuesday, Oct. 14 through Saturday, Oct. 18 - one location only
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 19 - one location only
11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ADVANCE VOTING WEEK 2:
Monday, Oct. 20 through Saturday, Oct. 25 - one location only
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
ADVANCE VOTING WEEK 3:
Monday, Oct. 27 through Friday, Oct. 31 - four locations
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Throughout the three weeks of Advance Voting, Forsyth County residents can view a digital map displaying the current estimated wait time for Advance Voting by visiting https://www.forsythco.com/vote.
Election Day Voting in Person
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, voters go to their designated Election Day polling place to cast a ballot. All Election Day polling places will be open for voting on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Note: There is no voting at any location on the Saturday, Sunday or Monday prior to any election.
The Election Day polling place for the 21-South Forsyth precinct has moved from Sharon Springs Park to Sharon Forks Library, 2820 Old Atlanta Road, for the 2025 election cycle only.

Absentee Voting by Mail
Voters unable to vote in person can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. Forsyth County registered voters can apply for an absentee ballot online, by mail or by emailing a scanned copy of their signed application to the Voter Registrations & Elections Office at [email protected]. The last day to submit an absentee ballot application to the Voter Registrations & Elections Office for this election is Friday, Oct. 24. Voted absentee ballots can be returned as soon as they are voted. Voted absentee ballots must be received by the Voter Registrations & Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. The postmark date does NOT count.
