ANAHEIM, Calif. (September 17, 2025) - Anaheim Police Detectives have arrested two (2) people in Texas for their involvement in a homicide that occurred in Anaheim in June 2025.
On Tuesday, June 15, 2025, Garden Grove Police Department officers responded to Garden Grove Hospital to investigate a man, later identified as 65-year-old Tien Luu, who had been dropped off at the hospital with injuries consistent with an assault. During the beginning stages of the investigation, it was discovered that Luu had been assaulted inside a residence located in the 1800 block of W. Bernardy Place in the City of Anaheim. The Anaheim Police Department Homicide detectives took over the investigation on June 21, 2025. On June 22, 2025, Luu succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
After a two-and-a-half-month investigation, Christopher Do, a 35-year-old Garden Grove resident, was identified as the suspect responsible for killing Luu. Additionally, 37-year-old Brittany Vidal of Garden Grove was identified as an accessory to Luu's murder.
Both suspects were located in Houston, Texas. With assistance from the Houston Police Department, Vidal was taken into custody on September 2, 2025, on an arrest warrant for accessory to murder, and Do was arrested on September 3, 2025, on an arrest warrant for murder.
On September 9, 2025, Do and Vidal were extradited to California and are now in custody at the Orange County Jail awaiting trial. Do and Vidal are both being held without bail.
