07/21/2026 - Partial Road Closures on Fones Road for Roundabout Installation and Paving

Building a Safer Street for Everyone
Partial Road Closures on Fones Road for Roundabout Installation and Paving

Starting as soon as Monday, July 27, Fones Road will be closed while crews install the new roundabout and continue paving, at the south driveway to Home Depot. We expect to complete this work in about three weeks.

To protect the new roundabout and splitter islands and ensure the safety of the traveling public, Fones Road will be closed to through traffic 24 hours a day until the work is complete.

Access will be maintained to all homes and businesses, but passage through the area near the south entrance of Home Depot will not be allowed except for emergency vehicles and when necessary to allow people to reach their homes.

Please plan for potential travel delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area. Detour signs will be posted in advance of the closure, and travelers are encouraged to follow the posted detour routes. Crews will be on site to allow for local access for driveways along the closure that have no other alternatives
