On May 6, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Marko Đurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
The parties discussed further intensifying the political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Serbia, expanding trade and economic cooperation, advancing investment projects, and strengthening ties in transport, industry, tourism, as well as cultural and humanitarian fields.
The importance of continuing close and systematic cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, further activating mechanisms of political consultations, and promoting new joint initiatives was underscored.
Particular attention was also given to enriching with practical substance the agreements reached at the highest level, ensuring the implementation of the tasks set by the Heads of State, and thoroughly preparing for upcoming high-level visits.
Serbia was noted as one of Uzbekistan's reliable partners in Europe. Confidence was expressed that the current momentum in bilateral relations will elevate the partnership to a new level.
