North Port Parks & Recreation invites residents and their four-legged friends to celebrate peace, love and paws at Woofstock 2026 on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event takes place at Butler Park, 6203 W. Price Blvd., and promises a lively day centered on pets, people and community connection.
Woofstock has become a favorite annual tradition in North Port, offering a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere where dogs take center stage. Attendees can enjoy live acoustic music, engaging K-9 demonstrations, and a variety of pet-focused vendors showcasing products and services. New this year, guests are encouraged to arrive early for free pet caricatures, a fun new event feature available only during event hours. Guests are also invited to snap a photo at the event's themed photo area, mingle with fellow dog lovers from across the community, and grab a bite from local food trucks with items available for purchase.
A highlight of the event is the Best Dressed Dog contest, where pups can show off their grooviest looks for a chance to earn bragging rights and applause from the crowd. The event also provides opportunities to meet adoptable dogs through Rescue Garage, a local animal rescue organization that will be on-site, sharing information and collecting donations of dog food and supplies to support pets in need.
For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, dogs must remain leashed and under the handler's care and control at all times. Handlers must be at least 18 years old and are responsible for ensuring their dogs are vaccinated, wearing current tags, in good health and properly cleaned up after. Any dog displaying aggressive behavior must be removed from the park immediately.
Additional event details and the full schedule will be released closer to the event date. Residents are encouraged to bookmark NorthPortFL.gov/Woofstock for updates.
