Baker McKenzie acted as US legal adviser to Bright Scholar Education Holdings Limited ("Bright Scholar"; NYSE: BEDU) on the successful completion of its merger in a going-private transaction with Bright Education Mergersub Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Excellence Education Investment Limited ("Excellence Education").
As a result of the merger, Bright Scholar became a wholly owned subsidiary of Excellence Education, and Bright Scholar's American Depository Shares ceased trading on the New York Stock Exchange effective 16 December 2025. Bright Scholar will file to deregister its shares with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
