SACRAMENTO, CA - Assemblymember Lisa Calderon (D-Whitter) is pleased to announce that seven of her bills are currently on the Assembly Floor, while several others are now in the Senate.

"This session, my legislative bill package is built around issues that are top of mind for many Californians: insurance reform, food security, disaster preparedness, workers' rights, clean water, and an affordable, energy future," stated Assemblymember Calderon.

The following bills have advanced to the Senate

  • AB 1559 - Aerial Imaging Transparency: this bill requires insurers to notify homeowners that aerial images may be taken of their property, and insurers are to provide instructions on how to request or receive the aerial images. This bill also prohibits insurers from basing decisions to cancel, non-renew, and request an in-person inspection on aerial images older than 180 days.
