ROCKVILLE, MD - Goodwill® secured a place on Forbes' list of America's top 100 charities once again this year. Ranked as the tenth-largest nonprofit, Goodwill represents a network of 150 independent, local nonprofits that leverage community donations to fund essential job training programs and provide other support services to those looking for economic opportunities.
The Forbes list highlights America's largest charities based on private support and donations, and it features categories of healthcare, domestic and international needs, and youth.
"We are honored to receive this national recognition, but the real story behind this ranking is the collective of 150 remarkable local Goodwill organizations and teams that help more than 2.1 million individuals build skills, access vital resources and find meaningful, competitive work," said Steve Preston, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries International.
