The Cass County Veteran Service Office has been recognized by Tyler Technologies with an Excellence Award for its outstanding community outreach and service to local veterans.
The recognition highlights the office's exceptional efforts to connect veterans with vital resources, particularly through its second annual Stand Down event, held September 11 in Fargo. The event provided a wide range of essential services-including VA enrollment, benefits counseling, and housing support-to over 300 attendees, including 185 veterans.
This year's Stand Down marked a 38% increase in veteran participation compared to 2024, with notable growth among younger veterans. The event also helped 15 previously unconnected veterans enroll in VA services, ensuring they now have access to the benefits and support they've earned.
"We're a team dedicated to serving those who served. Every day, we work to connect veterans with the resources and support that improve their lives," said Veteran Services Officer Chris Deery. "We're honored to receive this award. We couldn't do what we do without a passionate, committed team-people who ensure that veterans always come first."
The Cass County Veterans Service Office remains committed to its mission of serving as a trusted advocate and resource for veterans and their families throughout the region.
