European Union: EU Commission Authorises and Renews Four GE Crops for Import
On December 16, 2025, the European Commission approved four genetically engineered crops (2 maize, 1 soybean and 1 rapeseed) for food and animal feed. The four authorizations were published in the European Union's Official Journal on December 18, 2025, and remain valid for 10 years.
