Innovative risk platform recognised at InsuranceERM Awards 2026

Our validateR platform has again been named 'Risk innovation of the year' at the InsuranceERM awards, marking a second consecutive win for our market-leading validation technology.

InsuranceERM's annual awards recognise excellence in insurance risk management, actuarial and risk modelling practices across Europe. Built on years of BW's deep expertise in Internal Model Validation, validateR is now a proven game changer, with a growing influence across the general insurance sector where the demands on regulatory and economic capital model validation, governance and scrutiny continue to rise.

Our approach to automating internal model validation makes validateR unique in the market. The platform enforces the creation of a robust validation framework, enabling validation teams to operate with greater structure, clarity and confidence. Designed to accelerate the validation and analysis of regulatory and economic capital models, validateR enables insurers and risk professionals to ensure that appropriate scrutiny is applied to the review of the capital model. Tests can be (re)run and exported within minutes, rather than hours or days, significantly reducing friction in the validation cycle.

Speaking on the award win, Partner and Head of GI Risk and Capital Julien Masselot said: "To receive the prestigious InsuranceERM Risk Innovation of the Year award for a second year running is a tremendous honour. It reflects the exceptional work of our team, who have continued to enhance the validateR experience for our clients over the last twelve months."

"This recognition reflects our ongoing dedication to innovation in the insurance sector, supporting our clients through tools that drive deeper insight, stronger assurance and meaningful value to the capital modelling process."

This is the third year in a row that BW have been championed at the awards, as validateR's inaugural win last year was preceded by a win in the 'Pension risk transfer innovation of the year' category at the 2024 awards, recognising our advisory role in the first ever superfund transaction.
