Coming Soon: The Bark Spot at Caruthers Park

Construction is officially underway on The Bark Spot, a brand-new dog park located at Caruthers Park.

The Bark Spot will serve as a safe and inclusive space that promotes responsible pet ownership, connection and active recreation. The new park expands access to off-leash recreation and offers another convenient option for residents to enjoy with their dogs close to home.

The park includes separate areas for small and large dogs, providing space for both active play and more casual use.

The construction of The Bark Spot aligns with the City Council's 2025-2027 Strategic Plan and supports implementation of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. By continuing to invest in parks and public spaces, the City is enhancing amenities that support a safe, well-maintained and connected community. Residents, business owners and community members played a key role in shaping these priorities, prioritizing improvements to parks and public spaces.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Bellflower for their support of this project. In recognition of its 100thAnniversary, the Bellflower Rotary Club partnered with the City of Bellflower to create a lasting community legacy. Rotary's contribution supports The Bark Spot and provides the initial funding to establish the future Bellflower Parks and Recreation Foundation.
