Full closure of the Koko Head Avenue off-ramp Wednesday, Oct. 14

HONOLULU - The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies highway users of the full closure of the Koko Head Avenue off-ramp Exit 26A from the eastbound H-1 Freeway on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for restriping along the ramp.

Work to refresh the striping along the Koko Head Avenue off-ramp will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14. During this work, eastbound motorists will be detoured via the 6^th Avenue off-ramp Exit 25B.

On Thursday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. crews will return to refresh striping along the Koko Head Avenue overpass by closing one left lane in each direction.

Throughout the day on Friday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a roving closure will be in effect throughout the work zone to complete finishing work along the overpass and on-ramp.

Please note all work is weather permitting. All work is subject to change per these conditions.

HDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, be aware of all traffic control signs and barriers and plan commutes ahead of time. Special duty police officers will be on-site assisting with safety procedures.
