Zirinksy pens chapter about American educator in Tehran

History Professor Emeritus Michael Zirinsky's chapter, "Dr. Jordan of Tehran: American, Christian, Teacher," will be included in "An American Educator in Iran: The Life and Times of Samuel Martin Jordan," edited by Houchang E. Chehabi, forthcoming in 2026 by Mazda Publishers.

Zirinsky was also interviewed by Adrija Roychowdhury of the Indian Express about the Pahlavi dynasty in Iran (1921-1979). Her interview and forthcoming article focus on current speculation about the restoration of the Pahlavis to Iran. Zirinsky suggested that this restoration is highly unlikely, as "young" Reza Pahlavi has not been back to Iran since 1978 and, to Zirinsky's knowledge, has no support within the country.
