CNBC Report: Exxon and Chevron profits surge on rising oil prices due to Iran war
COLUMBUS, OHIO - As gas prices soar across Ohio thanks to the Husted-backed Iran war, oil giants like Chevron and Exxon are raking in massive profits. While Ohioans pay more at the pump, Jon Husted is taking the maximum legal contributions from both companies' corporate PACs.
Husted has now voted thirteen times to support the expensive and unnecessary war that is helping Big Oil pad its profits while regular Ohioans get screwed. Meanwhile, gas prices in Ohio have surged again, and national prices have reached an average of $4 a gallon after continued attacks in Iran.
Ohio Democratic Party Senior Communications Advisor Tony Wen released the following statement:
"As Jon Husted votes time and time again to continue the war in Iran, massive oil companies are making billions in profit while Ohio families get crushed by skyrocketing gas prices. Husted has taken maximum contributions from both Chevron and Exxon corporate PACS, and Ohioans deserve to know why he keeps siding with his billionaire donors instead of fighting to lower costs at home."
