BOZEMAN - A trip to Nashville for the championship game is on the line for the winner of this weekend's playoff football game in Bozeman. The No. 2 ranked Montana State Bobcats will host the No. 3 Montana Grizzlies on Saturday, Dec. 20, for the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) semifinals.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Mountain Time in Bobcat Stadium. The winner will advance to the national championship, which will be played Monday, Jan. 5, at Vanderbilt University's FirstBank Stadium in Nashville. Their opponent will be determined by the bracket's other semifinal game between No. 12 Villanova and Illinois State, which will be played Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time at Villanova Stadium in Philadelphia.

The Bobcats, who are the top remaining seed in the playoffs with their national No. 2 ranking, defeated No. 7 ranked Stephen F. Austin at home on Friday, Dec. 12, by a score of 44-28. In Missoula, the Griz beat No. 11 South Dakota on Saturday to advance to their rematch with the Bobcats in Bozeman.
The Bobcats have already defeated the Griz once this season, winning on the road in Missoula on Nov. 22 by a score of 31-28 to end the regular season. With that win, the 'Cats earned the Big Sky Conference title and the conference's only automatic bid to the playoffs. It is the third time in the past four seasons that MSU has ended the regular season as conference champion.
