Service for the New York Knicks ticker-tape parade

After a historic win in the 2026 NBA Finals, the New York Knicks will return to their hometown to celebrate with a ticker-tape parade on Broadway. The parade will take place on Thursday, June 18, at 10 a.m., beginning at Battery Park and ending at City Hall.

Millions of spectators are expected to attend the parade, and if you plan on being one of them, public transit is the way to go. Here's what to expect.

Subway

Subway stations near the parade route are:

  • to South Ferry, Rector St, or WTC-Cortlandt St
  • to Wall St, Park Pl, or Fulton St
  • to Bowling Green or Fulton St
  • to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall

  • to Fulton St or Chambers St
  • to World Trade Center
  • to Broad St or Fulton St
  • to Whitehall St, Rector St, or Cortlandt St

Some station entrances and exits will be closed during the parade. Use our Planned Work lookup tool for details or look for MTA staff at these stations for help.

Be advised that trains will not stop at the Wall St and City Hall stations from 4:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (for Wall St) and 5 p.m. (for City Hall).

Bus

Some local and express bus routes in lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn may experience detours or delays beginning early Thursday morning due to the parade. Those routes include:

  • Bronx: BxM18
  • Brooklyn: B25, B26, B37, B38, B41, B45, B52, B54, B57, B61, B62, B63, B65, B67, B69 B103, BM1, BM2, BM3, BM4, BM5, X27, X28, X37, X38
  • Manhattan: M1, M9, M15, M15-SBS, M20, M21, M22, M55, M103
  • Queens: QM7, QM8, QM11, QM25, QM65
  • Staten Island: SIM1, SIM1C, SIM2, SIM3, SIM3C, SIM4, SIM4C, SIM5, SIM6, SIM7, SIM9, SIM10, SIM11, SIM15, SIM31, SIM32, SIM33, SIM33C, SIM34, SIM35

Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad

There will be additional Metro-North Railroad service on the Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven lines to Grand Central before the game. Use the TrainTime app to plan your trip.

Please note: An alcohol ban will be in effect for both Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad from 5 a.m. Thursday morning until 5 a.m. Friday morning. Celebrate responsibly.
