On 20 May 2026, a meeting was held in Dushanbe between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Feridun Sinirlioğlu. During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and the OSCE, as well as issues of regional security, border strengthening, countering modern threats, and the development of interregional cooperation.
Special attention was paid to joint programs in the areas of ensuring stability, combating transnational crime, cybersecurity, and supporting socio-economic development. The Minister emphasized the importance of practical cooperation with the OSCE and expressed interest in further expanding collaboration in priority areas of mutual interest.
The OSCE Secretary General highly appreciated Tajikistan's contribution to strengthening peace and stability in the region and reaffirmed the Organization's readiness to continue constructive dialogue and implement joint initiatives. Following the meeting, the parties underscored their commitment to developing partnership and maintaining regular contacts at various levels.
