Massacre in Haiti’s Artibonite region

The Brazilian government was deeply saddened to learn of the massacre carried out by a criminal group on March 29 in Haiti's Artibonite region. The attack, which also included acts of arson, killed more than 70 people and left others injured and displaced.

In expressing its condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a swift recovery to those injured, the Brazilian government stands in solidarity with the government and people of Haiti and calls on the international community to support the efforts of the Haitian government in the areas of public security, social and economic development, and institutional stabilization.
