Statement by the HR/VP on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures against Iran
On 24 July 2026, the Council adopted the Decision (CFSP)2026/18361 amending Decision 2010/413/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Iran.
The Council decided that the entry concerning three persons designated in Annex II to Decision 2010/413/CFSP should be removed from that Annex. The Council also decided to update the entries concerning one entity. The restrictive measures against all other persons and entities in the list set out in Annex II to Decision 2010/413/CFSP should be maintained.
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova (Republic of), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
