Nomination Period Extended for Council Districts 2 and District 4

The nomination period for Simi Valley City Council Districts 2 and 4 has been extended to Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., as the incumbents for both districts have chosen not to file for re-election in the November 3, 2026, General Municipal Election. The extension provides additional time for voters to nominate candidates for their district.

Visit the City's website at www.simivalley.org/findyourdistrict to determine if you live in either District 2 or District 4.

To be eligible to hold office as a City Council Member for District 2 or District 4, an individual must reside in the respective district and be a registered voter of that district.
Nomination papers have been available from the City Clerk during the official nomination period, which began Monday, July 13, 2026, and will now close Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for those districts only.

The City Clerk's Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Individuals interested in running for City Council are encouraged to schedule an appointment to receive information and nomination papers by calling the City Clerk's Office at (805) 583-6748.
