Caltrans is alerting motorists that the Three-Mile Slough Bridge on State Route 160 (SR 160) is scheduled for partial daytime closures for additional parts replacement. The bridge remains safe for travel.

This ongoing work is part of a $24.1 million emergency project to make necessary upgrades to four Delta bridges along the Sacramento River.

For motorists and workers' safety, the bridge will be under daily one-way traffic control. Caltrans contractors will be installing an emergency generator and additional equipment.

Schedule: Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., March 30 through April 30

California legal trucks with a kingpin-to-rear-axle distance of more than 40 feet are not recommended on SR 160.

Weather conditions could delay or cancel scheduled work. Caltrans advises motorists to "Be Work Zone Alert."

For motorists using the State Route 84 Real McCoy and SR 220 Ryer Island Ferries as a bridge detour, additional ferry information is located on the Caltrans Delta Ferries website: http://www.dot.ca.gov/d4/deltaferries/.

Bay Area motorists can check 511.org or follow Caltrans District 4 on Twitter (@CaltransD4). Caltrans District 3 will provide construction updates on Twitter (@CaltransDist3) and on Facebook (CaltransDistrict3).
