Doctors Hospital of Augusta Chief Nursing Officer Jeffrey Harden, MSN, MBA, RN, has been named to the Georgia Trend magazine 40 Under 40 Class of 2025, which recognizes young leaders making a significant impact across the state.
At just 35 years old, Harden leads a team of more than 850 nurses and healthcare professionals at Doctors Hospital. Since joining the hospital, he has successfully onboarded more than 200 nurses and implemented forward thinking workforce strategies to strengthen the nursing pipeline, improve retention, and enhance engagement. His leadership has also driven innovation in clinical practice including leading the American Nursing Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition - one of the highest distinctions in nursing excellence.
Beyond his work at Doctors Hospital, Harden is actively engaged in his community. He partners with local nursing schools to facilitate clinical placements for more than 65 senior practicum students each year and serves on the board of directors for the Burn Foundation of America. He also holds leadership roles within HCA Healthcare, including serving as South Atlantic Division executive chair for the LGBTQ+ Colleague Network.
