ACG Systems to Upgrade Southwest Airlines’ Communications at Nashville International Airport

ACG Systems (ACG) has secured a contract to modernize Southwest Airlines' (SWA) command center at Nashville International Airport (BNA). This project is a key part of an ongoing, long-term collaboration to transition SWA's major operational hubs across the country to advanced digital and IP-based communications technology.

Enhancing Operational Performance and Reliability

ACG's primary goal for this upgrade is to provide SWA with a highly reliable, efficient, and effective communication system to significantly improve operational performance at this increasingly important airport. The ACG team will supply the necessary personnel and equipment to modernize the entire suite of communication technology at BNA, ensuring it meets both current and future operational demands.

The upgrade will include:

• Upgrading the Ground Radio system with new repeaters utilizing Link Capacity Plus (LCP), integrating with the Avtec Scout consoles.
• Providing and programming Air/Ground radios for seamless integration with the Avtec consoles.
• Staging, installing, and integrating the Avtec command and control consoles and radio technology in the new terminal.
• Modernizing all systems to the latest digital and IP technology platforms, including installing backup equipment for uninterrupted operations.
• Supplying all related peripheral equipment and necessary hardware and software licenses.
