Claire Leffingwell, coordinator for 1 is 2 Manyat Oklahoma State University, has been awarded the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Region IV-West's Outstanding New Professional Award at the recent 2025 NASPA Region IV-West Conference.

This honor is reserved for a student affairs professional who has been in the field for less than five years, is a NASPA member, and has demonstrated significant contributions to their campus and the profession.

Leffingwell's work at OSU is a comprehensive effort focused on preventing sexual violence, promoting a culture of consent, and providing essential resources and support for individuals who have been impacted by sexual violence.

As a liaison between students, staff, faculty and community resources, Leffingwell develops and executes high-impact programming like Mocktail-Gate, Spring Break Round Up and interactive trainings for students and OSU employees on topics ranging from healthy relationships and bystander intervention.

"This award is a testament to the incredible work and impact Claire makes within the OSU community and beyond," said Jeff Bates, director of student conduct. "During Claire's tenure in this role, 1 is 2 Many has set a new standard for excellence in supporting students who have been directly impacted by incidents of sexual violence. I'm grateful to see her recognized at a national level for the hard and important work she accomplishes every day."

The 1 is 2 Many program at OSU aims to reduce the incidents of sexual violence at the university through on- and off-campus collaborations, student leadership initiatives, social norming campaigns, and prevention education opportunities that raise awareness by promoting effective consent, teaching intervention techniques, reframing the campus culture and supporting victims.
