DEXSTA FCU Volunteers at Boys & Girls Club of Wilmington
DEXSTA Federal Credit Union employees recently volunteered their time at the newest Boys & Girls Club of Delaware during its, "Lights on Afterschool" program. The team, led by club director Nicole Morgano, began operations on August 25 at The Bayard Elementary School, in Wilmington, DE.
(Left to right): Ms. Nicole, Club Director, Ms. Iyanna, Education Director, Mr. Mehki, Youth Development Professional (YDP 30), & Joseph Buscemi, Business Development & Revenue Manager, DEXSTA FCU.Currently, the club is at half capacity, with forty-two actively enrolled students. It serves as an after-school program that promotes teamwork and inclusivity through fun and educational activities.
The afternoon consisted of three hours split between indoor and outdoor Halloween-themed games and crafts, as well as a designated time for the students to enjoy dinner together. DEXSTA provided pencil cases full of essential school supplies and assisted students and staff during group activities.
The team at DEXSTA was appreciative of Ms. Nicole and her staff for providing them with the opportunity to volunteer. They shared that they are eager to offer continued support and look forward to strengthening their relationship through future collaborations!
