Hop over to Mission Viejo Animal Services Center this National Adopt-a-Rescued-Rabbit Month and meet Jackie and Wison - two sweet young bunnies waiting for their forever homes.
Adopt-a-Rescued-Rabbit Month's purpose is to raise awareness about the countless rabbits in shelters and rescues and to dispel common myths about pet rabbits. Rabbits often go unnoticed in the animal adoption world, leading to many being surrendered or abandoned. People often believe rabbits are easy, low-maintenance pets, but they require significant care, attention, and a proper habitat big enough to hop around in for exercise.
Jackie is a 4-month-old female Calico and Lionhead mix, and Wilson is a 4-month-old male black Lionhead mix, both came in as strays. Lionhead rabbits require daily grooming for their signature mane as gentle care is essential to prevent matting and overheating. They are social and active pets that love to give and receive affection, explore, and chew on safe wooden toys. Since they are so young, it is the perfect time to get them acclimated to being held and socialized. They could be adopted together, and we can also schedule a rabbit meet-and-greet if you already have a rabbit in your home.
Adopting a rescue rabbit not only saves a life but also brings joy and companionship into your home. Make a difference in these rabbits' lives and meet them today at 28095 Hillcrest.
