Free test drives, expert guidance on expiring EV credits and culture converge
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Where retro meets the road ahead. SMUD is bringing electric vehicle education and test drives to the OG Lowrider x Wired Down Sacramento Festival on Saturday, Sept. 13. This free car culture celebration will feature classic lowriders, live music and street vendors. With federal EV tax credits worth up to $7,500 expiring Sept. 30, it's time to discover how electric power is transforming the past, present and future of transportation.
What: EV Ride & Drive at OG Lowrider x Wired Down Festival

Festivalgoers can see the groundbreaking electric lowrider conversion - recently displayed at the Smithsonian. It was built by students from Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy (SAVA) with SMUD support to showcase how classic car culture embraces clean energy.
