Gilbert, AZ- Have items piling up that can't go in your trash or recycling bins? On Saturday, February 28 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Gilbert residents can take advantage of a free, drive-through drop-off event offering multiple disposal and recycling services in one convenient stop.
For one day only, the Gilbert Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be mobilized at the Gilbert Public Works Department, located at 900 E. Juniper Avenue. This event provides a safe and convenient way for residents to drop off items that require special handling and are not accepted through curbside collection.
Staff will unload items directly from vehicle trunks, ensuring a quick and convenient experience. Educational outreach booths will be available along the route, allowing residents to learn more about waste reduction and sustainability without leaving their vehicles.
Additionally, the Gilbert Police Department will host its Annual Document Shredding Event, providing free and secure shredding for up to five boxes of documents per vehicle. Residents are asked to remove folders, binder clips, and any metal or plastic materials prior to drop-off.
