“The 6th Street Sessions”

September 2, 2025 - ROCHESTER, MINN - The City of Rochester is inviting the community to take part in "The 6th Street Sessions," a series of conversations designed to dig into the components of 6th Street Bridge, Neighborhood Safety and Riverside Improvement project.

Each session will focus on a different part of the project, building on past community input while gathering fresh perspectives. Virtual sessions will be recorded and shared online, and evening sessions will be hosted at Riverside Central Elementary School (506 5th Avenue SE).

"Much of what makes a street work isn't obvious at first glance." says Steve Sampson-Brown, City of Rochester, Director of Construction. "The 6th Street Sessions are about peeling back the layers, why certain choices matter for safety, access and identity, so residents can see how their input directly shapes the future of this corridor."
