MINDEF-SPF Joint Reply to Query on Death of Singapore Armed Forces Regular Serviceman (Non-Training Related)

A 24-year-old Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular was found lying motionless at the foot of an Yishun HDB block on the morning of 27 April 2026. He was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic.

Based on preliminary investigations, the Police do not suspect foul play. They have classified the case as an unnatural death, and investigations are ongoing.

The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.
