Dicamba-specific training sessions scheduled

BISMARCK - Dicamba over-the-top products for soybeans have been registered in the state and are once again available to producers. They are restricted-use products, meaning that they may only be applied by a certified pesticide applicator.

"All applicators must be certified and take the additional online training," said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. "The training will benefit applicators by teaching them the techniques to use the technology properly so that these products will be available for future use."

The training sessions will meet the requirements of the state and attendees will be issued a certificate of completion. Applicators only need to attend one registrant training to be able to apply any of the products. The products are Engenia by BASF and Stryax by Bayer.

BASF Engenia training may be found at https://www.engeniaherbicide.com/training.html. Bayer Stryax training may be found at https://bayerstewardshiptraining.com/

For more information about the training requirements, please contact Richard Weisz, Pesticide Inspector Specialist at 701-328-1508.
