The inaugural address will define the Administration's vision for the first year and set the tone for a strong path forward
Mayor Monroe Nichols will deliver his first State of the City address since taking office on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m. at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center in the Chapman Music Hall.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will start abruptly at 7 p.m. Alison Anthony, President and CEO of Tulsa Area United Way, will serve as emcee for the event, with programming and the Mayor's speech to follow.
The event marks the first time in recent history that Tulsa's mayor will host a free and public State of the City address for anyone to attend - an event separate from the annual Chamber event happening Nov. 20.
Mayor Nichols' address will focus on his vision for Tulsa while providing updates on the City's priorities, achievements, and challenges.
Since taking office in December 2024, Mayor Nichols has focused on reaching functional zero homelessness by 2030, increasing our affordable housing stock by 6,000 units by 2028, improving student and youth outcomes, making Tulsa the safest big city in the country, strengthening partnerships with our tribal nations, and creating more economic development opportunities for the community.
