Dentons HPRP hosted a talk show titled "Empowering Women-Led MSMEs to Strengthen Indonesia's Economy" at its office in Wisma 46, Jakarta. The event, attended by dozens of women MSME entrepreneurs from across the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area, was held as part of the firm's initiative to commemorate International Women's Day and aimed to support women-led MSMEs through legal education and practical insights on building sustainable businesses.
The session featured speakers including Fabiola Hutagalung, Nashatra Prita, and Linna Simamora, Partners at Dentons HPRP, as well as Nancy Suryani from Bank Sahabat Sampoerna. The discussion highlighted that strong MSMEs are built not only on quality products but also on solid business foundations, including proper legal status, financial readiness, and brand protection.
During the talk show, the speakers emphasized the importance of obtaining basic business legality, such as a Business Identification Number (NIB) and other relevant licenses, while also encouraging entrepreneurs to view compliance not as a burden but as a long-term investment for business growth and access to financing. The panel also discussed the importance of trademark registration to ensure legal protection and strengthen business valuation, particularly when seeking partnerships or investment.
The session, moderated by Winda Tania, Partner at Dentons HPRP, concluded with an interactive dialogue where participants actively shared questions and experiences from running their businesses. The event reflects Dentons HPRP's ongoing commitment to supporting Indonesia's MSME ecosystem, including through its recent memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Creative Economy to support the development of the country's creative economy.
