Chairwoman King & South Florida Realtors Host Homebuyer Event

Published on January 27, 2026

City of Miami Chairwoman & District Five Commissioner Christine King in partnership with South Florida Board of Realtists, Inc. (SFBOR) will host "Show Me the Money! Keys Please!", a Homebuyer Empowerment Event designed to educate and equip first-time homebuyers with the tools and resources needed to achieve homeownership.

This free, community-focused event will bring together lenders, banks, grant providers, housing counselors, real estate professionals, title companies, and government agencies to provide clear guidance on accessing funding, down payment assistance, closing cost assistance, and available housing grants.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts, ask questions, and explore pathways to purchasing their first home using financial assistance programs. Additionally, there will be two panels: one with community partners about purchase assistance and the other is with lenders.

"We are on a mission to expand equitable access to homeownership and bring financial empowerment to our communities, and I am proud to help open doors for residents pursuing the American dream of owning a home," said Chairwoman King.

If you plan to cover or would like an interview with Chairwoman King, please contact Jessica Wade Pfeffer in advance at [email protected].

The event will take place Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m

Location is Little Haiti Cultural Arts Center 212 NE 59th Terrace, Miami, FL 33137
