Metzgar, Stefano to Host Veterans Appreciation Breakfast Nov. 12

October 27, 2026

SOMERSET - To show appreciation for those who served the country, Rep. Carl Walker Metzgar (R-69) and Sen. Pat Stefano (R-32) will host a free breakfast for veterans on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Somerset American Legion Post 181, 162 W. Main St. in Somerset.

The event begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. Somerset County veterans will be able to connect with other local veterans and learn about the services the senator's and representative's offices can offer for state-level assistance.

"Our veterans have given so much in service to our nation, and the least we can do is give back to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms," said Metzgar. "Hosting this free breakfast is a small but meaningful way to express our gratitude, honor their service and remind them that their dedication and sacrifices will never be forgotten."

"Our veterans have carried the weight of service with honor, giving more than most of us will ever fully understand," said Stefano. "Their service and sacrifices safeguard the freedoms we enjoy every day, and this free breakfast is a small token of our appreciation."

Those planning to attend must register by calling Stefano's office at 814-443-2053 or Metzgar's office at 814-443-4230.
