Servier announces top-line results from the pivotal study for sevasemten in Becker muscular dystrophy

Nov. 3, 2026 - Servier announces that the main results of the GRAND CANYON study did not meet the primary endpoint, as no statistically significant benefit was observed on the North Star Ambulatory Assessment (NSAA) scale. Secondary endpoints were also not met. The study, an 18-month, international, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the effect of sevasemten in Becker muscular dystrophy, confirmed that a favorable safety and tolerability profile was maintained.

The results of the pivotal GRAND CANYON study are not aligned with certain observations made in previous clinical studies, including the Phase 2 CANYON study. Servier is currently conducting an in-depth analysis of all the data from the GRAND CANYON study, as well as relevant prior clinical data, to better understand and more accurately characterize the results of the study.

The full results will be presented at a later date.

Servier thanks all trial participants, patients and caregivers who took part in the clinical trials, investigators, and internal teams whose commitment made this study possible.

In line with its mission to address the unmet medical needs of patients, Servier remains fully committed to bringing innovations in rare neurological diseases to patients.
