EDP signs landmark hybrid PPA with a leading company in Poland for a 322 MW portfolio

The energy produced under this PPA is expected to avoid over 600,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to removing approximately 400,000 cars from Polish roads, therebysupplying Energa and its clients with clean and affordable electricity.

"Concluding the contract with the EDP is a milestone for our company in the implementation of its sustainable development strategy. The agreement for the purchase of green energy with an annual volume up to a maximum of 600 GWh will translate into high price stability in the long term, and is also in line with the implementation of ESG requirements and support for the decarbonization process. This is proof that we consistently build value based on modern technologies and environmental responsibility," says Leszek Mrazek, President of Energa Obrót.

The long-termPPA marks a significant milestone in EDP's growth strategy in Poland and its ambition to lead the energy transition across Europe. It also reinforces how EDP aims to deliver innovative solutions for all types of companies and their energy needs. EDP has more than 16 GW of renewable projects contracted in long-term agreements with leading companies worldwide.

EDP is a long-term investor in Poland's energy transition: the group has already developed more than 1.3 GW in renewable projects across the country, with wind, solar, and storage assets in operation, and is also a key player in solar solutions for Polish companies.
