April Battles demonstrating Azerbaijan Army’s determination for victory

A decade has passed since the April Battles that demonstrated Azerbaijan Army's determination for victory.
The successful counteroffensive operation carried out by the Azerbaijan Army in response to provocations by the Armenian armed forces on the night from April 1 to 2, 2016, marked the beginning of the Glorious Path to Victory that led to the complete liberation of our territories from occupation. The battles are remembered with respect and pride as the beginning of the great Victory for Azerbaijani people and state.
Thanks to the professionalism of Azerbaijan Army, the so-called myth of the "invincibility" of the Armenian armed forces was shattered, as they suffered heavy losses in both manpower and equipment, and the determination of our nation for victory was further strengthened.
As a result of the decisive strikes by Azerbaijan Army Units, around 30 tanks, more than 25 artillery systems, and other armored vehicles of the Armenian army were destroyed, 320 of their servicemen were killed, and more than 500 servicemen were wounded.
More than 2,000 hectares of our occupied lands were liberated. In addition, the Lalatapa height, the Jojug Marjanli village of the Jabrayil region, and thousands of hectares of strategically important territory came under the full control of our Army.
The bravery and professionalism of the Azerbaijan Army were clearly demonstrated in these battles. The April Battles became a significant turning point both militarily and psychologically. Thanks to the advantage gained by our Army during the battles, Azerbaijani people's belief that our lands would be liberated by military means was further strengthened.
The April Battles laid the foundation for the path to Victory in the liberation of our territories from occupation and served as a serious test for our Army in terms of experience.
The April victory, which became a triumph of solidarity for the unity of the people, state, and army, has also gone down in history as a manifestation of the professionalism of the Azerbaijani soldier, the strength of our Army, and the unparalleled bravery of the sons of the Motherland.
In response to large-scale provocations carried out by the Armenian armed forces along the entire front line on September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijan Army, under the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, launched a counteroffensive operation and, within 44 days, concluded it with a magnificent historic victory.
As a result of the Patriotic War, the anti-terror operations and the successful combat operations carried out in the post-war period, the revenge of Shehids was taken, separatism was put to an end, the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan was fully restored across the entire territory of the country, and our territorial integrity and sovereignty were ensured. At the same time, large-scale reconstruction and restoration works were launched in the liberated territories.
