On 24 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Jiří Kozák, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, on the occasion of his official visit to Thailand as Guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance the bilateral and multilateral relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic, which have continued to expand in various areas of cooperation, particularly in the defence industry, science and innovation, Thailand-European Union relations, Thailand's accession to the OECD, and mutual support for candidatures in international organizations. The two sides also exchanged views on important regional and international issues.

The Vice Minister hosted a luncheon in honor of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, which was also attended by representatives from the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) and the National Innovation Agency (NIA).

The Czech Republic is Thailand's top trading partner among the Visegrád countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia). About 60,000 Czech tourists visited Thailand in 2024, which was the year the two countries commemorated the 50th year of their diplomatic relations.
