September 19, 2025, Peoria, IL - Today, Nicole L. Keller, 23, was charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery for stabbing her ex-boyfriend in the stomach. At Keller's detention hearing, the state's Petition to Detain was denied, and Keller was released, citing her non-extensive criminal history. She was released with conditions, including GPS electronic monitoring, no contact with the victim, and no possession of dangerous weapons.
Just after midnight on September 19, 2025, officers responded to a stabbing in the 4500 block of N. Rockwell in Northwest Peoria. Upon arrival, officers observed blood on the front stoop and broken glass.
The victim told officers he was at home with his roommate when Keller began banging on the door and broke a window. When he went outside to get her to leave, she swung a baseball bat at him, hitting him in the shoulder. As he tried to stop her, Keller lunged at him with a knife, stabbing him in the stomach and severely cutting his hand, before fleeing in her vehicle.
Officers quickly located Keller's vehicle and took her into custody.
