BLOOMINGTON, IL - Leaves, brush, garden trimmings and bulk will not be picked up on Wednesday, December 31, and Thursday, January 1, for New Year's. The Citizen Convenience Center will be open on Wednesday, December 31, but it will be closed on Thursday, January 1. Garbage and recycling will be picked up as scheduled on Wednesday, December 31, and Thursday, January 1.

As a reminder, garbage and recycling carts must be placed in the parkway (typically the area between the sidewalk and the curb) or at the end of the driveway near the street (especially if cars park along the street during the day) no earlier than 2 p.m. on the day prior to scheduled pickup and no later than 6 a.m. on the day of pickup.
