The Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce presented Cobleskill Regional Hospital with its Not-for-Profit of the Year Award at its annual dinner, held on October 8, 2026.
Chamber leaders shared that this award was given in recognition of the hospital's established presence as a trusted pillar of the community. This year, Cobleskill Regional Hospital is celebrating 70 years of promoting the health and wellness of residents living across Schoharie County and its surrounding area.
"All of us at Cobleskill Regional Hospital are thankful to the Schoharie County Chamber for this award. We are so grateful to be a part of such a thriving and welcoming community of businesses working to serve our neighbors well," said Susan Oakes Ferrucci, DNP, MSN, RN, CNS, President of Cobleskill Regional Hospital and Chief Hospital Executive of Bassett Healthcare Network's Critical Access Hospitals. "Since our hospital first opened its doors in 1956, generations of caregivers have dedicated themselves to building a facility where the local community can come for compassion."
Cobleskill Regional Hospital is Schoharie County's only provider of acute inpatient medical care, emergency care, short-stay inpatient rehabilitation, and many other diagnostic and therapeutic services. More than 20 outpatient specialty services are also offered at the hospital, including cancer care, general surgery, orthopedics, and heart care. The hospital's emergency department provides rapid assessment and expert treatment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
