Palestinian students and researchers travel to Italy under scholarship programmes
Two flights departed from Amman with 70 Palestinian citizens on board, who are scheduled to arrive in Italy today. The group includes 39 students and researchers from the Gaza Strip, as well as Palestinian nationals travelling for family reunification with relatives already residing in Italy.
This marks the launch of the "university corridors" initiative, which enables young Palestinian scholarship recipients at Italian universities to leave their country and continue their studies in Italy.
To date, over 150 scholarships have been awarded to students from Gaza.
