Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island, Illinois, is now the official naming rights partner for the home of the Modesto Roadsters. Modern Woodmen Field will serve as the Roadsters' home for the next 10 years, bringing Stanislaus County families together through the game of baseball.
The Modesto Roadsters are part of the Pioneer Baseball League, an MLB partner league that fosters community engagement, supports local economies and develops future athletes.
"This ballpark has stood here for 75 years and been an integral part of the fabric of Modesto," says Dave Heller, Main Street Baseball CEO and Modesto Roadsters owner.
The ballpark is undergoing a transformation, with an upcoming expansion project.
"That process will be accelerated through this partnership and renaming this great ballpark: Modern Woodmen Field," Heller says.
Heller owns three other Minor League Baseball teams, including the Quad Cities River Bandits. Modern Woodmen has long supported the River Bandits and holds naming rights to the team's home field in Davenport, Iowa.
The fraternal financial services organization's partnership with Heller and his teams reflects its mission to improve the quality of life for its members and the communities it serves.
"We're proud to become part of the Central Valley and the City of Modesto," says Modern Woodmen President and CEO Jerry Lyphout. "Baseball has a unique way of bringing families together and creating lasting connections. That sense of community deeply aligns with who we are and what we stand for at Modern Woodmen."
