Business license renewals due Oct. 31

FAYETEVILLE, Ark. - The City of Fayetteville is reminding businesses to renew their business license by Friday, Oct. 31, to avoid late fees.

Licenses can be renewed and fees paid at the City's Civic Access Portal: www.fayetteville-ar.gov/mycitybusiness.

All businesses, including outdoor mobile vendors, home-based businesses and short-term rental properties within the incorporated city limits of Fayetteville, must maintain a business license unless the business qualifies for an exemption.

A business license application is required within 60 days of operation. All business licenses expire on Oct. 31 each year. A $50 late fee will be assessed and added to the renewal fee if a business license is not renewed by Oct. 31. To learn more, visit the Development Services Department's fees webpage.

Along with renewing its business license, short-term rentals also must fill out, sign, have notarized and turn in a Short-Term Rental Business License Affidavit by Oct. 31.

Registration or log-in is required to access each license, complete the renewal process and pay required fees. Self-service kiosks are available at 125 W. Mountain St. if assistance is needed to renew a business license.

Business owners who have not accessed the Civic Access Portal since February will need to re-register their online account. Instructions are linked on the business license page listed above.

Renewal notices were sent by e-mail Sept. 1 to all contacts on the license record.
