High Wind Advisory: December 29-31, 2025
According to the National Weather Service, a High Wind Advisory is in effect for southern New England from 7:00 PM Monday, December 29, through 1:00 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
Strong west-to-east wind gusts will develop late tonight and continue through Tuesday night. Peak wind gusts are expected Tuesday between approximately 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Forecasted conditions include:
• Sustained winds of 20-30 mph
• Wind gusts of 45-60 mph
• Higher gusts possible in higher terrain of interior Massachusetts
Potential impacts:
• Downed tree branches and weakened trees
• Downed power lines
• Possible power outages
Residents are urged to use caution, secure loose outdoor items, and remain alert for changing conditions.
