NDFB members to elect new leadership at annual meeting

BISMARCK, ND - Members of NDFB will gather November 21-22, 2025, at the Holiday Inn in Fargo for the 83rd Annual Meeting, featuring leadership elections, policy discussions, and networking.

This year, members will elect the NDFB President, Vice President, and district representatives from districts 1, 5, and 6. President Daryl Lies has announced he will not seek re-election. Lucas Lang of Sterling and Val Wagner of Monango have declared their candidacies for president, while John Jacobson of Hatton is running for vice president. Elections will take place on Saturday, November 22. A full list of candidates is available at ndfb.org/meet-the-candidates

The meeting begins Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the general session, followed by the House of Delegates session, where voting delegates will review and vote on policies. Friday evening will feature the NDFB Promotion and Education live auction to benefit the scholarship program.

Saturday night will feature keynote speaker Rob Sharkey, known as "The Shark Farmer." Sharkey, an Illinois grain farmer and entrepreneur, is recognized for his innovative approach to agriculture through podcasts, radio, and TV programs. NDFB members and guests can look forward to an evening of insight, laughter, and inspiration.
